Our 80 minute CD portrait of Framlingham was made in late 2007 and features 30 local voices, as well as natural sound and music.

Framlingham Besides the contemporary voices, you will also hear the voice of Mr Harold Lanman, founder of the town museum, recorded back in 1974, talking about his life in the town before World War 1.

Reactions to Our Town In Sound

Our Town in Sound is an absolute delight, very professionally recorded and put together but, far more important, really touching heart and mind. The little town sprang to life. I love the programme's leisurely pace and the way people and things seem to come quietly and sometimes surprisingly out of the landscape. Your use of the town-clock provides a beautiful leitmotif and all the music is there for a purpose, another layer of promenade.

Piers Plowright, former head of documentary features at BBC Radio 4

Congratulations on creating a highly entertaining and informative CD which, as a relatively new resident, made me all the more glad to be here.

Mr Chapman, Framlingham

I produce the talking books show and it's very good. It's so well done, I have to play a bit of it!
